This guide walks you through what to expect during the delivery process—from order confirmation to drop-off—so you always know what’s happening and what to do if anything changes.
Step 1: After you place your order
Once your order is submitted, Abboda sends it to the store for confirmation and preparation. During this stage, a few things happen behind the scenes:
- the store receives the order details
- the store confirms availability and begins packing or preparing items
- your order status updates in Abboda
What you should do:
- double-check your delivery address and instructions
- keep your phone nearby in case the store or driver needs clarification
If you entered an apartment number, gate code, or special delivery notes, this is where it matters most.
Step 2: Order preparation
Preparation time depends on what you ordered and how busy the store is.
For example:
- a small snack order may be packed quickly
- a larger order may take longer
- specialty items may require extra handling
During preparation, your order status may show something like:
- Preparing
- Order confirmed
- Packing your order
If the store is out of a specific item, the store may:
- remove the item, or
- substitute it (if substitutions are allowed)
To avoid surprises, it’s a good idea to add a note when ordering (for example: “If out of stock, refund that item” or “Substitute with similar flavor”).
Step 3: Driver assignment and pickup
After the store prepares your order, a delivery driver is dispatched to pick it up. Depending on how fulfillment is handled, you may see:

If you chose “Leave at door”

If signature or ID is required
