Picking Up an Order from a Merchant

When you arrive at the merchant location, your job is to pick up the correct order and make sure it is ready before starting the delivery. A smooth pickup helps prevent delays, wrong orders, and missing items.

1. Go to the Pickup Location

Use the pickup address shown in your delivery details. When you arrive, go inside the store or follow any pickup instructions provided in the order.

Some merchants may have a pickup counter, front register, or a specific area for delivery orders.

2. Let the Merchant Know You Are Picking Up for Abboda

When you speak with the merchant, politely let them know you are there for an Abboda pickup.

You can say something simple like:

“I’m here to pick up an Abboda order for [customer name] or order #[order number].”

3. Confirm the Order

Before accepting the order from the merchant, check that the order matches the information in your delivery details.

Make sure to confirm:

  • Customer name
  • Order number
  • Number of bags or items
  • Drinks, if included
  • Special pickup notes, if any

Do not leave with an order if you are unsure it is the correct one.

4. Wait if the Order Is Still Being Prepared

Sometimes the order may not be ready when you arrive. If this happens, wait politely and follow the merchant’s instructions.

If the wait is too long or there is a problem, contact Abboda Support for help.

5. Handle the Order Carefully

Once the merchant gives you the order, keep it secure and upright. Be careful with drinks, fragile items, frozen items, hot food, or anything that can spill or get damaged.

Do not open sealed bags or tamper with the order.

6. Confirm Pickup in the App or Delivery Screen

After the merchant gives you the order and you confirm everything looks correct, mark the order as picked up if your delivery screen requires it.

Only mark the order as picked up after the order has been handed to you.

7. Start the Delivery

After pickup is complete, follow the delivery instructions and head to the customer’s drop-off location.

Important Reminder

Drivers should not leave the merchant location until they have the correct order and all available items provided by the merchant. If something seems wrong, contact Abboda Support before starting the delivery.
